Today was my last talk in Sacrament meeting before going
into the MTC. My Bishop was adamant that
it not be called a farewell :)
He also tried really hard to keep the program a
secret. He wouldn’t tell me who I was
speaking with. This added some suspense
to the walk into the chapel. I was very
excited when I figured it all out!
I ended up speaking with Maddie and President Draper, our
old stake president. I loved being able
to speak with such amazing people. There were even some audience members who
thought President Draper was a general authority. There may or may not have been some tweets
during sacrament about “General Conference in January”…
Right before I spoke my little sisters played I am a Child
of God on their violins. The placement of that musical
number was brutal. After the very first
note I lost it. I started crying and couldn’t
pull it together.
So yes, I cried. That was the one thing I didn’t want to do and it happened multiple times…
Whatever!
After they were done I had the seemingly impossible task of going to the podium and delivering a talk.

This is where I would put my talk. The problem is that I never wrote it out so you are all spared the bore of reading my talk.
You're welcome!
It was so fun to talk to everyone after. There were so many fun friends I hadn’t seen
in awhile. We all headed back to my
house for food and more talking. It was
a little chaotic but so fun to catch up with everyone! Plus the food was way yummy.
We had so much fun talking and eating that we didn’t get the
camera out. So here’s the only picture
we have from today.
It is a great one to have.
I love this girl!!!! She is one of my best friends ever and we have had
so many fun times together. I was so
happy she could make it.
It was a great day that just kept on going. It was almost midnight by the time everybody
left. We started playing Rook and Scum
and hours later were still battling it out...
I am so thankful for this opportunity to serve a mission. MTC, here I come!!!
